About Us
Founded in 2025, MEVIC Lab (Mechatronics and Vision Computing Lab) is a research lab within the MCEG Business Group of Foxconn Technology Group. The lab is based in Shenzhen, China.
The lab was established to connect AI research with industrial applications, bringing academic inquiry and engineering practice together. Work is driven by practical needs in industry and spans mechatronic systems, visual computing, large AI models and agents, with a focus on developing and applying these technologies in real systems.
Chen-Liang FAN leads the lab. The research team includes researchers trained at Peking University and other universities in China and abroad, with research and engineering experience in mechatronics, computer science and systems engineering.
The lab encourages dialogue across disciplines. Researchers and engineers from academia and industry are welcome to join the team and help advance mechatronics and visual computing.
